About these terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Hskky website at hskky.com, the Hskky web application at app.hskky.com and the email forwarding service they provide (together, the “Service”).
The Service is owned and operated by 172 Tech (“Hskky”, “we”, “us” or “our”). Our address for correspondence is SCO 197, Sector 7C, Chandigarh, India. The Service was designed by 530 Expert and developed by ESS ENN Associates.
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.
The Service
Hskky lets you create email aliases on the hskky.com domain. Messages sent to an active alias are forwarded to an email address you have verified (a “destination address”). Hskky aliases are for receiving email; the Service does not currently send email from aliases on your behalf.
We may improve, change or discontinue features from time to time. If we make a change that materially reduces what a paid plan includes, we’ll tell you in advance and you may cancel and request a pro-rated refund for the unused part of your subscription.
Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher.
- You must provide accurate information and verify that you control each destination address.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity on your account.
- One person may not create multiple free accounts to get around plan limits.
Plans
We offer a Free plan and a paid plan called Plus. The features and limits of each plan, including the number of active aliases, destination addresses, daily forwarding allowance and attachment size, are set out on our pricing page, which forms part of these Terms.
On the Free plan you can change your alias a limited number of times in a rolling 30-day period, as stated on the pricing page. Plus forwarding has no fixed daily cap but is subject to fair use as described in the Acceptable Use Policy.
Payments and Paddle
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Plus costs $20 per year in US dollars. Applicable sales tax or VAT is calculated and collected by Paddle at checkout. Paddle’s buyer terms also apply to your purchase. Hskky does not receive or store your full payment card details.
Renewal and cancellation
Plus is a yearly subscription that renews automatically at the end of each year unless you cancel.
You can cancel at any time from your account. When you cancel, Plus stays active until the end of the year you have paid for and does not renew. When it ends, your account moves to the Free plan: you keep one active alias, and your other aliases are stopped and enter the two-month safety window described below.
Refunds
If you request a refund within 14 days of buying or renewing Plus, you will receive a full refund, with no questions asked. Full details are in our Refund Policy. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Alias lifecycle and names
- Active aliases do not expire. They forward mail until you stop them.
- Stopped aliases stop forwarding immediately. For two months after being stopped, messages sent to them are not delivered and you may reactivate them.
- After two months, stopped aliases are removed and cannot be reactivated.
- Custom names on Plus must have at least six characters and may contain only lowercase letters, numbers, periods and hyphens, without consecutive periods or symbols. We reserve certain names, including names associated with operating or impersonating a service, and may refuse or remove names that are misleading, infringing or offensive.
- Deleted custom names are permanently withheld from reuse and will not be issued to any other user. You do not own an alias name; you receive the right to use it while your account is in good standing.
Acceptable use
You must use the Service lawfully and in line with our Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, you may not use Hskky for fraud, harassment, ban evasion, phishing, receiving unlawful content, or automated or bulk creation of aliases.
Your email and data
You keep all rights in the email you receive through the Service. You give us permission to process messages only as needed to operate the Service: to receive, scan for abuse and malware, forward and, where necessary, temporarily queue them for delivery. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.
Availability and delivery
We work hard to keep the Service reliable, but we can’t guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or that every message will be delivered. Email delivery depends on systems we don’t control, including senders, your destination provider and spam filters. Don’t rely on an alias as the only way to receive messages that are critical to your health, safety, finances or legal rights.
Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account, or stop individual aliases, if we reasonably believe the account breaches these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, creates risk for other users or for the Service, or if required by law. Where appropriate we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. If we close a paid account without cause, we will refund the unused part of your subscription.
Disclaimers
Except as stated in these Terms and to the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Hskky will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or USD 20 if greater.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Indemnity
If you use the Service in breach of these Terms or the law, you agree to cover reasonable losses and costs that Hskky incurs as a result of third-party claims arising from that use, to the extent permitted by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will notify account holders by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don’t agree, you may cancel before the change applies. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to the next sentence, the courts at Chandigarh, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service. If you are a consumer, you also benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live, and nothing in this section removes your right to bring proceedings in your local courts where that law allows.
